UPSC GAUIDENCE BY ADITYA MIRKHELKAR:-
All India rank-155(AIR)
My strategy
1. Learn the syllabus by heart
2. Read all the previous year question papers ( Pre and Mains)
3. Basics of Polity, Economy, Geography and History needs to be strong ( for that NCERT books needs to be read frequently )
3. Prepare atleast 2 page note on each topic mentioned in the syllabus.
4. Select the optional based on these criteria
a. Area of Interest ( personal choice)
b. Scoring pattern ( Right now scoring subjects are political science, Anthropology, Maths, engineering subjects )
c. Overlap with General studies papers ( Political science, History, Geography)
d. Guidance Available
5. Current affairs needs to be thoroughly prepared ( newspapers - The Hindu, Rajya Sabha Tv big picture program )
6. Proper Revision is must ( I prefer revision after a day and after a week)
7. For prelims Good Amount of MCQs needs to be solved (vision IAS test series or insights test series)
8. For mains writing practice ( Download toppers copy from ForumIAS website or VisionIAS website) and follow their approach
9. Consistency is the key you are competing with others
10. There is no shortcut to Success, work hard.
11. There is always scope for improvement ( Now I am targeting single digit rank )
12. I will send the booklist in other message
